Ruddhi Foudnation

Ruddhi Global Foundation visited a local gaushala in Thane to extend hands-on support and reaffirm our commitment to compassionate cow care. Our volunteers spent the day assisting with feeding, cleaning enclosures, refilling water troughs, and ensuring comfortable bedding for elderly and injured cows. We also contributed essential supplies—fodder, mineral mix, basic medicines, and grooming tools—while coordinating with the gaushala team to prioritize urgent needs. A veterinarian accompanying the group conducted health checks and offered guidance on nutrition, hydration, and preventive care for the herd. Beyond tasks, the visit was an opportunity to listen to caretakers, understand their daily challenges, and appreciate the tireless seva that keeps this sanctuary running. We left inspired by their dedication and grateful for the chance to serve together in a spirit of humility.

In Sanatani tradition, the cow is sacred and symbolises nourishment, patience, and non-violence. Caring for cows is therefore not only an act of kindness to animals, but also a pathway to humanity in our communities. We invite everyone to join this effort—through volunteering time, sponsoring fodder, supporting medical care, or adopting a cow’s monthly feed. Small, consistent contributions keep shelters resilient during heat, rains, and rising costs. If you cannot visit in person, you can still make a difference by sharing awareness, fundraising within your circle, and encouraging friends to practice mindful, cruelty-free choices. Together we can uphold values of seva and sustainability, protect vulnerable beings, and strengthen the bond between people, nature, and tradition. Let Thane’s example inspire many actions everywher
